Escape to Eco Destination Tirthan & Romantic Manali 

The tour starts with a visit to the Eco & remote destination of Tirthan valley. This valley with its crystal clear waters of Tirthan river and towering mountains makes it an ideal place to unwind listening to the melody of flowing water. At Tirthan valley we gets ample opportunities to engage in some nature based activities like trout fishing, hiking, trekking, village walks etc. Later we continue to the famous hill station of Manali including a visit to all the known sight seeing points. The tour gives you ample opportunity to enjoy the lovely scenic views, beautiful forests, breath-taking valleys and the glacier fed streams splashing around & hurtling down the beautiful mountains.

DETAILED PROGRAMME

Day 01: Arrive Chandigarh – Tirthan (260 Kms/7-8 Hrs)
Arrive Chandigarh Airport/railway station, we will meet & transfer you to Tirthan.

Tirthan valley is the main gateway to the Great Himalayan National Park (GHNP). Actually, without the national park, the secluded valley would have probably remained unknown. The name of the valley comes from the Tirthan River that flows from Tirth, its origins located in the GHNP, and ends at Larji in the Beas river. Compared to other destination in Himachal, the valley is still well preserved and offers the perfect environment for those who are looking for a peaceful holiday.

The Tirthan valley is also a part of Banjar region with Banjar town situated in Kullu district. On reaching we will check in to Hotel, evening free to explore glimpses of this beautiful valley and relax among the pine trees in the valley.

Day 02: In Tirthan
Today we take you on a drive to Sarchi village which is located 13 kms up on the mountains from valley floor and the drive winds up the mountain and forest. Explore the village, walk around, spend some time chatting to locals. Afternoon return back down to Tirthan valley for lunch at your hotel or any other suitable café. Late afternoon visit Gushaini which is main village of Tirthan or time permitted enjoy Trout Fishing in River Tirthan.

Tirthan valley is one of main rivers in India which has been preserved for Trout fish and is World famous among anglers. Overnight at hotel. **fishing is banned by Government in monsoon and winter months.

Day 03: In Tirthan – Hike to Seolsar Lake
Today after breakfast we go on an excursion to Jalori Pass which is about 60 – 90 minutes drive from hotel, located at 3100 m, Jalori Pass provides excellent views of Himalayan mountain ranges and you can view various peaks in Kullu valley from here. We then move ahead on a trek of 5 kms through meadow and forest to visit Seolsar lake which is revered by locals as a religious place. We trek back to Jalori pass to drive back to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Seolsar Lake is a picturesque lake that is an easy 6 kms hike from Jalori Pass. Its crystal-clear waters surround an old temple of goddess Buddhi Nagin, who is highly revered by the locals. The hike takes you through beautiful trails surrounded by oak and cedar trees.

**for those who do not wish to trek we do an excursion to Jalori Pass to enjoy the drive crossing Shoja village and dense Himalayan Forest. Jalori Pass provides excellent views of Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal mountain ranges & you can identify few peaks of Kullu region like Deo Tibba, Hanuman Tibba, Inderkilla etc. Drive back to Jibhi for a short walk to the waterfall, enjoy walking around and enjoy few cafes. Return back to hotel to relax by the river.

Day 04: Tirthan/Manali (100 kms/ 3 hrs)
Morning after breakfast, check out and drive towards Manali enroute visiting Naggar Castle, Roerich Art Gallery and Tripura Sundari temple. Afternoon visit Hadima Devi temple and old Manali village. Have a relaxed evening enjoying a walk to the Manali market and some café hoping in old Manali. Overnight at hotel.

Naggar Castle is a medieval castle, located in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh, India. Built by Raja Sidh Singh of Kullu in around 1460 A.D, it was taken over to Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC), to run as a heritage hotel, since 1978.

Nicolas Roerich (Nikolai Roerich) was a Russian painter, who also wrote poetry and made Naggar his home for the last few years of his life. The museum known as Roerich Art Gallery here is small but well-maintained; it has paintings made by the artist and philosopher on display. It is a very tranquil place located just above the main market in Naggar.

Tripura Sundari Temple is a wooden pagoda-style temple that can be accessed via a short walk on a path from Naggar Castle. The gabled roof is a beautiful sight and signals the presence of an old temple. It is just below the road to the Roerich Art Gallery. It is crowned with a three-tiered roof, of which the top storey is designed very beautifully.

Hadimba Devi Temple, locally known as Dhungari Temple, also known variously as the Hadimba Temple. It is an ancient cave temple dedicated to Hidimbi Devi, wife of Bhima, a figure in the Indian epic Mahābhārata. The temple is surrounded by a cedar forest called Dhungiri Van Vihar at the foot of the Himālayas. The sanctuary is built over a huge rock jutting out of the ground which was worshiped as an image of the deity. The structure was built in 1553 by Maharaja Bahadur Singh.

Day 05: In Manali
After breakfast day at excursion to Sollang Valley (2560 M).Visit most beautiful Solang Valley where number of Adventure activities is conducted. You can see here adorable natural view with lush green forest & mountains. You can also enjoy here adventure activities like Paragliding, Horse riding, Ziplining on you own. Later visit Atal Tunnel

Solang Valley drives its name from combination of words Solang (Nearby village) and Nallah (water stream). It is a side valley at the top of the Kullu Valley in Himachal Pradesh, 14 kms northwest of the resort town Manali on the way to Rohtang Pass, and is known for its summer and winter sport conditions. The sports most commonly offered are paragliding, skiing and zorbing.

Atal Tunnel (also known as Rohtang Tunnel is a highway tunnel built under the Rohtang Pass in the eastern Pir Panjal range of the Himalayas on the Leh-Manali Highway in Himachal Pradesh. At a length of 9.02 kms, it is the longest highway single-tube tunnel above 10,000 feet (3,048 m) in the world when completed and is named after former Prime Minister of India, Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Day 06: Drop Manali/Chandigarh (320 kms/ 8 – 9 hrs)
Morning pick up from Manali hotel and transfer to Chandigarh station/airport. End of our services.

  • Vehicle would not be at disposal and would be provided as per the transfers & sight seeing only as per mentioned programme and itinerary.

  • The hotel category mentioned above only indicates that our rates have been based on usage of these hotels. It is not to be construed that accommodation is confirmed at these hotels until and unless we convey the confirmations to you on receipt of your acceptance. However in the event of any of the above mentioned hotels not becoming available at the time of initiating the reservations, we shall book alternate accommodation at a similar or next best available hotel and shall pass on the difference of rates (supplement/reduction whatever applicable) to you.

You can make reservations with us by advising us your acceptance of the tour and travel dates along with full payment in advance. We would immediately proceed to make tentative bookings. All services would be kept on confirmed basis on receipt of full advance payments only

Hotels in Kinnaur/ Spiti do not confirm without full advance payments which are subject to their cancellation policy

Cancellation & Operational Policy

Booking once made is subject to minimum of 25% of total tour cost charged as cancellation charges. 50% charges apply between 30 days & 15 days and no refunds thereafter. If any part of package is not availed, refunds cannot be claimed for and neither is any part of package exchangeable with some other services. In case extension of a tour or extra services are required, supplement as applicable would be paid directly to us by the guest.
