Fantastic is the word that defines this tour in short. The tour covers the foothills & middle & trans Himalayan regions. You start from the shadow of Dhauladhar mountains in Kangra valley, entering the remote & eco destination Tirthan valley from where you climb up meandering your way through Satluj valley to the Trans Himalayan regions of Sangla & Kinnaur.

After experiencing some might Himalayan vibes you trail leads you to Narkanda. A wonderful package which gives you a heartful of Himalayas, remoteness, solitude and makes a vagabond out of you. You would know only if you undertake this journey.

DETAILED PROGRAMME

Day 01: Arrive Dharamshala airport / Bir (65 kms/ 2.5 hrs)
Meet on arrival at Dharamshala airport and transfer to Bir enroute driving past tea gardens and Palampur town. On arrival check in at hotel/ camp for your two days of stay at this beautiful & vibrating destination.

Bir & Biling are also known as Paragliding capital of India. Here you can see majestic Dhauladhar mountain range with snow caped mountains. If weather permits you may enjoy on own a short paragliding ride. Bir has numerous walks around, you may enjoy a hike from Bir to Sherbaling monastery beautifully located midst a pine forest. Explore Bir visiting various cafes and may be visit the local monastery. Overnight in camp/ hotel.

Day 02: In Bir
Enjoy paragliding, hikes & treks or just a lazy day walking around the small settlement visiting various cafes and monasteries. Overnight in camp/ hotel.

Day 03: Bir/Tirthan (125 kms/ 5 hrs)
Morning after breakfast travel to Tirthan valley enroute crossing Mandi town and Pandoh Dam. From Aut follow Tirthan river to enter its valley, driving by its banks on meandering roads to the eco destination Tirthan.

We check in at hotel in Tirthan valley and enjoy rest of day listening to gurgling sound of river or walking by its bank. Overnight at hotel

Day 04: In Tirthan
Today we take you on a drive to Sarchi village which is located 13 kms up on the mountains from valley floor and the drive winds up the mountain and forest. Explore the village, walk around, spend some time chatting to locals. Afternoon return back down to Tirthan valley for lunch at your hotel or any other suitable café.

Late afternoon visit Gushaini which is main village of Tirthan or time permitted enjoy Trout Fishing in River Tirthan. Tirthan valley is one of main rivers in India which has been preserved for Trout fish and is World famous among anglers. Overnight at hotel.

**fishing is banned by Government in monsoon and winter months.

Day 05: In Tirthan – Hike to Seolsar Lake
Today after breakfast we go on an excursion to Jalori Pass which is about 60 – 90 minutes drive from hotel, located at 3100 m, Jalori Pass provides excellent views of Himalayan mountain ranges and you can view various peaks in Kullu valley from here.

We then move ahead on a trek of 5 kms through meadow and forest to visit Seolsar lake which is revered by locals as a religious place. We trek back to Jalori pass to drive back to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Seolsar Lake is a picturesque lake that is an easy 6 kms hike from Jalori Pass. Its crystal-clear waters surround an old temple of goddess Buddhi Nagin, who is highly revered by the locals. The hike takes you through beautiful trails surrounded by oak and cedar trees.

**for those who do not wish to trek we do an excursion to Jalori Pass to enjoy the drive crossing Shoja village and dense Himalayan Forest.

Jalori Pass provides excellent views of Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal mountain ranges & you can identify few peaks of Kullu region like Deo Tibba, Hanuman Tibba, Inderkilla etc. Drive back to Jibhi for a short walk to the waterfall, enjoy walking around and enjoy few cafes. Return back to hotel to relax by the river.

Day 06: Tirthan/ Jalori/ Sangla Valley (210 kms/ 8 hrs)
Today we take you on a long but interesting journey from Tirthan we climb up to Jalori Pass to cross into Satluj valley. We cross Satluj valley to join the Hindustan Tibet Road to continue our travel to Kinnaur valley. Stop at Tranda dhank (cliff) to enjoy the thrilling views and enter Kinnaur. We climb into Sangla valley from Karcham to reach our hotel/ camp for overnight stay.

Day 07: In Sangla Valley
An excursion into the beautiful Sangla valley visiting Rackcham and Chitkul villages. Return back to Sangla to relax in serene environment. Overnight in hotel/ camp.

Day 08: Sangla/ Kalpa (51 kms)
After breakfast we visit Kamru village and climb up to Kamru Fort or Temple. Walk through the traditional village provides us opportunity to enjoy some very old traditionally built houses. Later we continue to Recong Peo which is main town & district headquater of Kinnaur.

We walk around the market to shop for some beautiful Kinnauri shawls and later continue our climb up to Kalpa village beautifully located in backdrop of Kinner Kailash mountain range, providing excellent views of the holy Kailash mountain. On arrival check in and overnight at hotel.

Day 09: In Kalpa
We spend the day exploring Kalpa village, visiting the temple and monastery. Drive to nearby Roghi village to visit the beautiful local temple and enjoy a view of Roghi cliff also known as Suicide point. Overnight at hotel.

Day 10: Kalpa/ Narkanda (175 kms/ 5 hrs)
After breakfast we start our journey to the little town of Narkanda enroute visiting Sarahan which is an additional 13 kms journey up a mountain from main highway.

At Sarahan visit the famous Bhima Kali temple which is among one of 51 Shakti Peeths. This temple is a very fine example of Himalayan architecture also known as Kath Koni style of building. On arrival check in and overnight at hotel.

Day 11: In Narkanda
Morning drive through a dense forest to Hatu peak providing breathtaking views of Himalayas and also visit Hatu Devi temple. Afternoon visit Tanni Jubbar Lake. Rest of day at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Day 12: Narkanda/ Chandigarh (180 kms/ 5 hrs)
Transfer by surface to Chandigarh to connect flight back home.

End of tour with sweet memories.

***tempo would be 11+1 seater. There would be places where tempo may not be able to reach a particular point owing to narrow road & in such a condition the group will have to walk to the mentioned sight seeing point from nearest point where tempo drops them.

  • GST is not included in any of above prices and would be charged 5% extra on total costs or as prevalent at time of operation.

  • Service is subject to full advance, payment to be deposited at the time of booking confirmation
  • Vehicle would not be at disposal and would be provided as per the transfers & sight seeing only as per mentioned programme and itinerary.

  • In case we are not able to provide the same hotels as mentioned, then we shall provide similar alternate properties, change in the cost if any will be advised.
  • The hotel category mentioned above only indicates that our rates have been based on usage of these hotels. It is not to be construed that accommodation is confirmed at these hotels until and unless we convey the confirmations to you on receipt of your acceptance. However in the event of any of the above mentioned hotels not becoming available at the time of initiating the reservations, we shall book alternate accommodation at a similar or next best available hotel and shall pass on the difference of rates (supplement/reduction whatever applicable) to you.

You can make reservations with us by advising us your acceptance of the tour and travel dates along with full payment in advance. We would immediately proceed to make tentative bookings. All services would be kept on confirmed basis on receipt of full advance payments only

Hotels in Kinnaur/ Spiti do not confirm without full advance payments which are subject to their cancellation policy

Cancellation & Operational Policy

Booking once made is subject to minimum of 25% of total tour cost charged as cancellation charges. 50% charges apply between 30 days & 15 days and no refunds thereafter. If any part of package is not availed, refunds cannot be claimed for and neither is any part of package exchangeable with some other services. In case extension of a tour or extra services are required, supplement as applicable would be paid directly to us by the guest.
