Manali with Spiti Valley
One week tour into Spiti valley visiting its numerous remote & highest villages, beautiful monasteries, meet lovely Spitians. We drive across Pir Panjal Range crossing high mountain pass to reach Spiti valley. Its more like an exploration of Spiti Valley.
Given the short window of time permitted by mighty Himalayas this hidden jewel of Himalayas is best visited in summer months only.

DETAILED PROGRAMME
Day 1: Arrive Chandigarh/Manali (300 kms/ 8 – 9 hrs)
Arrive Chandigarh by train or flight. Meet on arrival and transfer directly to Manali enroute crossing Mandi & Kullu towns. On arrival check in and overnight at hotel
Day 2: Manali/ Kaza (200 kms/ 8 – 9 hrs)
Travel from Manali to Sollang Nallah and we continue our journey to cross Atal Rohtang Tunnel entering Lahaul valley. We drive in Lahaul valley till Gramphoo where we take a diversion to drive along Chandra river deeper into Himalayan valley providing exhilarating views.
From Batal we start our climb to scale Kunzam Pass (4558 m) and we drive down to enter Spiti valley continuing our exciting driving to Kaza crossing several Spitian villages like Losar, Hal and Rangrik. On arrival check in and overnight at hotel.
Day 3: In Kaza – exploring villages
Morning visit the Ki monastery, 12 kms from Kaza. This centuries – old gompa is a labyrinth of rooms and corridors – and at one time also acted as a fort. It houses valuable Thangkas and offers a panoramic view of the area. Later we drive to explore the heights of Spiti valley and visiting some of highest villages in the World. We visit villages of Langza, Hikim and Comic.
At Comic we also visit a small monastery Tangyud Gompa. We return back to Kaza town to explore its small lanes buzzing with local activity. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4: Kaza/ Pin Valley/ Dhankar/ Tabo
Morning after breakfast we drive to Pin Valley which is also known as Land of Ibex. We drive to Mud Village which is at edge of Pin Valley and the drive presents beautiful views. Later we drive back to visit Gungri monastery in Pin Valley. Continue travel onwards to Dhankar village and monastery.
Dhankar Monastery rests high over the valley and is a stupendous example of local architecture. It is regarded to have once been a fort and was also the residence of the ruler of Spiti – the Nano. Later we drive to Tabo. On arrival check in at hotel.
Tabo was founded in 996 AD by the great teacher Richensang-po, Tabo is renowned for its breathtaking murals and stucco images – and is often called “The Ajanta of the Himalayas”. The largest monastic complex in Spiti, the old section has 9 temples, 23 chortens, a monks chamber and a nuns chamber.
There are several caves adorned with frescoes and contemporary structures too. In trans Himalayan Buddhism, Tabo’s sanctity is next only to Tibet’s Tholing gompa. Overnight at hotel.
Day 5: Tabo/Chandertal (150 kms/ 5 hrs)
After breakfast we depart Tabo to drive across Spiti valley and climbing up to scale Kunzam Pass providing beautiful views of CB ranges. From here we enter deeper into Chandra Valley to reach the camping grounds where we stay at 4200 m of altitude for the night.
Chandertal Lake or the moon lake is about an hours hike from here. We enjoy the pristine beauty of Lake and return back to our tent for overnight.
Day 6: Chandartal/ Manali (116 km/ 5 hrs)
Travel from Chandertal to Manali driving through Chandra valley till Gramphoo from where you drive to Manali crossing Atal Rohtang Tunnel. On arrival check in and overnight at hotel.
Day 7: Depart Manali/Chandigarh (300 kms/ 8 – 9 hrs)
In time transfer to Chandigarh station/airport to connect your flight back home with Sweet memories of Spiti valley.

***in one car maximum of one family of 2+2 persons or 3 adults + 1 child can be accommodated
***In one Innova under any given condition, more than 6 pax will not be permitted/ booked including children
***tempo would be 11+1 seater. There would be places where tempo may not be able to reach a particular point owing to narrow road & in such a condition the group will have to walk to the mentioned sight seeing point from nearest point where tempo drops them.
Important Notice
- GST is not included in any of above prices and would be charged 5% extra on total costs or as prevalent at time of operation.
- Please add your own mark up at your end (all rates are net/ non commission able).
- Service is subject to full advance, payment to be deposited at the time of booking confirmation
- Vehicle would not be at disposal and would be provided as per the transfers & sight seeing only as per mentioned programme and itinerary.
- Room category in all packages are the standard rooms
- In case we are not able to provide the same hotels as mentioned, then we shall provide similar alternate properties, change in the cost if any will be advised.
- The hotel category mentioned above only indicates that our rates have been based on usage of these hotels. It is not to be construed that accommodation is confirmed at these hotels until and unless we convey the confirmations to you on receipt of your acceptance. However in the event of any of the above mentioned hotels not becoming available at the time of initiating the reservations, we shall book alternate accommodation at a similar or next best available hotel and shall pass on the difference of rates (supplement/reduction whatever applicable) to you.

Payments & Reservation Terms
You can make reservations with us by advising us your acceptance of the tour and travel dates along with full payment in advance. We would immediately proceed to make tentative bookings. All services would be kept on confirmed basis on receipt of full advance payments only
Hotels in Kinnaur/ Spiti do not confirm without full advance payments which are subject to their cancellation policy
Cancellation & Operational Policy
Booking once made is subject to minimum of 25% of total tour cost charged as cancellation charges. 50% charges apply between 30 days & 15 days and no refunds thereafter. If any part of package is not availed, refunds cannot be claimed for and neither is any part of package exchangeable with some other services. In case extension of a tour or extra services are required, supplement as applicable would be paid directly to us by the guest.
